This section is specific to members aged 55+ (On a five or seven days membership)
We are a friendly group, with a range of golfing abilities- but with a mutual desire to have fun, enjoy social golf, with a healthy element of lively competition!

With over 100 current senior members in the club we are looking to increase the participation of existing qualifying members, and new members are always welcome.
The information provided is intended for the growing cadre of members in this age group and is intended to provide practical information about what we do and how we operate.
Activities include:
INTER CLUB TEAM MATCHES
Usually 26 Matches during the current season.
12 or occasionally 14 a side.
4 ball matchplay format.
First Tee off times typically 10:30am (although occasionally later) please see fixture list for details.
Tee times and playing partners will be advised in advance (please see selection criteria).
Tea/coffee will be available on arrival.
1 or 2-course lunch served after the game.
Charge to members £15 (home and away)
Drinks are to be purchased normally by the home team however there are odd occasions when drinks are not shared.
A Team Player of the Year prize will be awarded at the end of the season (please see the points ranking criteria under Rules).

KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS
Seniors Singles
Seniors Fourball.
MONTHLY MEDALS
7 Monthly medals are scheduled from April to October.
These are usually played on Mondays (see fixture list for precise dates).
They are classified as memorial events carrying the names of previous prominent club members.
18-hole stroke play format.- White competition Tees.
Entry fee £5
Positional ranking points are allocated for TopTen placings for each competition leading to a season-end order of merit winner (which is classified as a board prize, Senior Champion) also, there is an aggregate prize based on the player’s best 4 Rounds
CLUB AWAY DAYS.
Depending upon demand there will typically be 3 club away days per season. (spring, Summer & Autumn).
These away days are usually based on a 4 Man Team selection in a Texas scramble, the team being picked by handicap leveling wherever possible, this being the basis since 2022 when our records began.
It could be possible to exchange an event for a 4 Ball Team Event.

SENIOR EVENTS IN THE REGION
A schedule is provided detailing the dates, format, and cost of senior events offered by clubs in the East Lancs region.
There is a vast range of events and formats running from April to September, the key highlight of which is the
East Lancashire Golf Association Senior Championship
